Lick mats
Lick mats have textured surfaces that hold soft foods or spreads. They are often used for treats, enrichment, or to keep a pet occupied during calm activities such as brushing or bathing.
Which one should you choose?
Choose based on the food you plan to serve and the behavior you want to encourage. For a full meal, a purpose-built slow feeder bowl may be the better fit. For a thin layer of soft food or a supervised enrichment session, a lick mat can be useful.
Supervision matters
Neither product should be treated as a chew toy. Inspect feeding accessories regularly and remove them if they become damaged. Use only pet-safe foods and keep portions appropriate for your pet's normal diet.
